This is important to know when you are modding any sphere matching game in general.
General rules:
1. No impossible lvl files. This includes but isn't limited to:
Levels with a min/mid speed of 600+
Levels that exceed the maximum amount of spheres allowed (500)
Levels that crash due to poor lvl file settings
Levels that with combined with the map make it impossible
2. No impossible maps. This includes but isn't limited to:
Maps that have all hidden nodes
Maps with impossible danger zones
Maps that crash upon being started due to poor background.spr/map.ui settings
If you can't beat it, you are not allowed to post it.
3. Present media alongside a thread.
Show at some images pertaining to the mod. (Images that DO NOT show gameplay/maps DO NOT count.)
You would need at least 2.
Trailers/teasers/demos are optional.
Don't be a sped and lock your files on GDrive. Requesting permissions just so someone can play the mod is asinine.
No. Broken. Links. Make sure what you're leading to isn't going to be GONE the minute I click it.
Don't link the ENTIRE GAME, only the files necessary to run the mod.
4. Make sure it is actually good looking and fun to play.
Absolutely no levels should have the rolling glitch.
Absolutely no levels should have eye searing backgrounds.
No graphic in the game should be glitched/broken.
Levels cannot and will not contain offensive imagery. What is offensive is up to perception but if it is GENERALLY offensive then it will violate the rules.
5. Be original.
Watermarked images are not allowed for use.
Just because one person uses something doesn't give you free reign to use it either.
When writing cutscenes for mods, don't even think of rewriting other mod stories but with different characters.
Mod advertising:
IF you want your mod to be advertised on the forums, it must comply with each of the requirements:
It must comply with all the general rules.
It must have good graphics.
Please, make a custom image about it.
Make sure the image you link won't expire.
