Very Bad. First thing the easy mod is VERY LONG since balls move very slow and dont get me started 1-3 stage on easy. Also you have instantly unlocked at the BEGINING OF THE GAME!! WHAT?! And luxor 2 and 3 levels soundtracks IS VERY WRONG. They Are UPSIDE DOWN. And Music OMG its so bad thank god they dont have danger music or else i could punch the game. And The Graphics Of The Levels Are Stolen! Just dont buy it! avoid it! Edit:Bobik Arleady Talked About How Bad Is This Game spherematchers.proboards.com/thread/108/reasons-why-luxor-5th-passage

I personally don't hate the game at all. As a struggling artist, I can appreciate the oil painted backgrounds. It honestly reminds me of my own art.. it sucks. As an attempt, it was good.

I wouldn't hate it if it was an independent sphere matching game. But it was meant to be a tribute to the Luxor series, the legend of sphere matching genre, so my expectations were much higher than what the game actually presents. It's just too average in all aspects, nothing really outstanding. That's why everyone is so harsh when speaking of this game.

After seeing how bad its predecessor (Luxor: Quest For The Afterlife) is, I thought this game will be better. Instead, what I get from this game shattered all standards of low. Taking from one of my posts of how bad (even that word is an understatement) this game is: I agree with you (Bobik) on most counts. However, this game is not made by MumboJumbo. Instead, it is made by Absolutist which is well known for the game Bubble Shooter. The levels in the game are boring and bland. Most of them have very similar paths and there's just two double-track levels in the whole game. Not just that, there are no new paths which intersect (unless you count Inside The Walls Of Luxor as one because of the top). The graphics are terrible when compared to the previous games. The levels have absolutely no extra effects applied to them, they're just static images. Luxor 2, Luxor 3 and Luxor QFTA had plenty of those eye-candy in their levels, so why are the designs of Luxor 5th passage so boring? It looks like the designer just took some random egypt-themed images and made up a path for spheres to them. Most other graphics are merely copied from the previous games of the series. Not just that, the screen resolution is many steps backwards because it is 800 x 600p (I can somehow forgive Luxor Quest For The Afterlife because it utilises Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p)). In the adventure mode, some levels come in wrong order or they are missing for some reason. Not only that, in Blast Mode, some of the path designs are incorrect (Secret Tomb, Bastet's Fountain and Shield Of Horus being the biggest culprits). But the free play mode is even worse. You know, how in other Luxor games or Zuma games you have to reach given level in Adventure mode to unlock it in free play mode? Well, in Luxor 5th Passage all levels are unlocked from the very beginning. I will not even count as a Free Play given it is trying to intimate all those internet games where you try to get the greatest amount of points within a time limit. The gameplay is really bad in this game. The spheres just rush towards the pyramid where their speed is cut by 90%. Stares at Bastet's Fountain on easy mode.... At least they've had the mercy not to include some terrible danger music or I would never hear the normal ingame music. Ironically, I hated the fact there is no Danger music, giving you no indication that you are going to lose especially on higher difficulties (the majority of the levels are 1-1 which alleviates this problem but causes more hate for this game). And what's up with those terrible powerups? Color sort? Double shooter? Who thought that was a good idea!? The main problem for me is that the powerups will kill accuracy even if they hit at least one sphere (made worse with Luxor 2 style accuracy system). Also, the superb powerups are either gone (Color Cloud) or are ridiculously nerfed (Color Sort) to the point of being absolutely useless. There's no bonus stages, nothing to provide some variety in the gameplay. The Bonus Stage is the same as the one from Luxor 2 made worse by the fact if the player earns a double shooter if he / she scores 85% accuracy in each level for a stage (again made worse by Luxor 2 style accuracy system which is only present in the Bonus Stage for this game but not in Luxor 2). Furthermore, the game featured some kind of... Eye of Horus help? It is supposed to be activated when you collect enough points to fill the bar but I've never managed to get it to work, so... The Eye of Horus is completely filled when the player collects 100 jewels. When activated, all the spheres on the screen is destroyed and the level ends. What makes this ridiculous is that all levels will never give you the 100 jewels for the Eye of Horus to work. One area of the game that I don't completely hate is the music - it's fairly good and quite similar to the previous games soundtrack. However, all the soundeffects are just merely ripped from the previous installments of the game. And even despite that, many of the soundeffects have wrong volume settings, which is annoying as hell. The music is actually another weakpoint for this game. Also, the music for some of the levels in the People's Choice levels are incorrect (Well Of Anubis from Luxor 3 has Luxor 2 music). I have played through the whole Luxor 5th Passage and this is the only game of the Luxor series that I'm definitely not touching again. If you haven't played it, I tell you there's nothing worth seeing here. Go grab any other of the Luxor games but stay away from Fifth Passage! Same here.
