Hi there, friendly Konisbored here! Don't know who I am? Well, I made Nocturnal Owl Devertice Editor. Now, I'm not sure if y'all remember this, but my very first mod, Cowlppy & The Luxor Scepter, was made for two main reasons: 1) Everyone wanted me to try to make a mod. EVERYONE. I don't think there was ever such a huge MAKE A MOD fanfare for someone whom lurked but never made mods till Sheepocalypse submitted maps for CMLM and they realised his map designs were good. 2) It was supposed to be a tech demo of what N.O.D.E v1.2 (now hilariously obsolete) could do to save time and effort for mods, as well as for some of its tricks like mirroring and reversing. Anyway, why the sudden throwback? Well, you see, just a couple days ago, I decided to make a map with N.O.D.E, for the hell of it. You see, despite making N.O.D.E, I never really made a lot of maps with it, surprisingly, namely because I was burned out after CaTLS. It did bother me: that despite everything, I can't even enjoy my own program because I was bogged down by expectations. (*cough* Show Visible Path/Vertices) But then in the Discord server's #mod-support channel, I realised that there were still many newcomers to Luxor path making. After all, we were all there once... But basically, after de-rusting a little, two important things struck me. Namely this quote from CaTLS: And as for the end-user, Luxor path making has changed so ridiculously much over the past few months, that I honestly can't say CaTLS or Luxor Mod 2016, which were both mods meant for people to take them apart and learn, can be easily learned anymore. Standards rose dramatically after CMLM, which was necessary. We can't have low-quality mods now, there is no excuse for it, honestly. And yet, the sudden quality shift made me feel the need to resume my tutorial series (yeah that was wiped by the flash drive corruption too lol). I'm not 100% proud of CaTLS (anyone remember the crash bug? Wound up not being a memory overflow, but a buffer overflow in the .font files due to repeated glyphs. Don't ask what that means). Besides, I lost all the raw files for Cowlppy and The Luxor Scepter. All the .xcf raw image files were destroyed in the corrupted thumb drive (N.O.D.E amazingly survived that due to luck), so its back to basics for this. Yes, this. What is "this"? A new mod, of course. (you should know this from the title alone. Such clickbait) I'm making a sequel to Cowlppy & The Luxor Scepter. Here's Return of The Luxor Scepter! Screenshots: Hexagon HammockTime to jump onto the "take a ZR level and put it into Luxor" train. Except pretty late. Eh. Coffee For Two
Enjoyed Chaos with Cowlppy? This is its twin brother, with extra creamer. Pharaohs Wear CrownsRecognise the background? Here's a fun level based off Dragon warping. Legend has it that in the year 2016, a great battle took place over the possession of the Luxor Scepter. After a final battle, the Luxor Scepter was lost forever... That said, you, a brilliant archaeologist, have one lead to the mystery of the whereabouts of the legendary scepter: the legendary group that backed the owl Cowlppy and his sharpshooter friend! Can you find the Sphere Matchers? Or will perhaps, a more sinister foe attempt to find them and snatch the Luxor Scepter for themselves (we all know the answer to this lol) Bringing you: - 25 to 26 maps, and 14+ cutscenes again! - Challenge of Horus mode? Guess so. - The return of familiar faces. I guarantee Cowlppy is in this game, for instance. But new faces should show their...um, faces in the cutscenes. - Sphere Matchers forums are integrated in the story this time. No nonsense plot chasing a snow owl throughout Egypt and some random casino showdown. - No crash bug. Thank goodness. that probably wasn't the best sales pitch lmao every big-time L:AR mod should have these now. That said, after my sales pitch... I don't expect this mod to be the greatest mod alive. I can't do amazing art manipulation like @azaes , Sheepocalypse or Mome Bas , nor do I have the patience like 剣と盾 with changing everything possible through ripping sprites+Photoshop. (check all these people's Luxor mods out. They're GREAT.) But I still hope you give this a shot. This mod exists for two reasons: 1) Path making has changed so much. I can use N.O.D.E v2.0 features now and show you guys how it's done, after all! I hope to concurrently make the mod with my Youtube Luxor Tutorial series, which would hopefully answer many mod questions once and for all. (maybe more people will give alpha.tga/tunnels a shot) 2) I will be drafted into the army soon. Very soon. Too soon. Maybe it'll be a nice temporary farewell. Do you really want me to give the mod a bad movie subtitle? It's not my style, although Seigneur Des Dragons852 does it for Zuma's Journey. Can you tell me which members of the SM forum will be in the cutscenes? (you can trust me not to leak) Haven't even made the story yet (it's a draft) but I guarantee at least all staff members. Can't guarantee anything. Like whether I will stereotype ya all.

i am ok if you put me in... Please don't beg to be a part of this mod's storyline. While yes, we are currently discussing the story, it'd be best to involve members who are notable, no offense.

EVERYONE. I don't think there was ever such a huge MAKE A MOD fanfare for someone whom lurked but never made mods till Sheepocalypse submitted maps for CMLM and they realised Nebby's map designs were good. You see, despite making N.O.D.E, I never really made a lot of maps with it, surprisingly, but namely because I was burned out after CaTLS. Such clickbait.) I'm making a sequel to Cowlppy & The Luxor Scepter. Here's Return of The Luxor Scepter! ~insert banner image here eventually~ Screenshots: Hexagon HammockTime to jump onto the "take a ZR level and put it into Luxor" train. Except pretty late. Eh. Coffee For Two
Enjoyed Chaos with Cowlppy? This is its twin brother, with extra creamer. But new faces should show their...faces in the cutscenes. - Sphere Matchers forums are integrated in the story this time. No nonsense plot chasing a snow owl throughout Egypt and some random casino showdown. - No crash bug, hopefully. that probably wasn't the best sales pitch lmao every big-time mod should have these now. Estimated Release Date: May-July 2017. I hope. ooh! a new mod! I like you cowlppy and the luxor scepter sooo much!
